About
The Delgado GenCyber Cyber Sleuth Camp is an inclusive, fun and informative program designed to introduce 8th-12th grade students in the Greater New Orleans Area to the field of Digital Forensics, Incident Response (DFIR) and Cybersecurity. Participants will develop hands-on investigation skills by solving realistic cases with professional forensics tools and techniques. Students will also learn practical cyber self-defense skills and explore career opportunities in the dynamic fields of Cybersecurity and DFIR!
Requirements
Any student in 8th – 12th Grade who resides in the United States, is enrolled in a United States high school and is interested in participating is welcome! No prior experience is required.
Cost
The Delgado GenCyber Camps are made possible with funds from the GenCyber Program* so the camps are absolutely free of charge to participants! In addition to free tuition, participants will be provided with a Camp T-Shirt & Materials, a RTA bus pass if needed and served breakfast and lunch. All students who are present throughout the week will earn a Certificate in Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) from Go Learn Labs.
When & Where
Two in-person summer camp sessions will be hosted by the Computer Information Technology Department on Delgado Community College campuses. Please select one session or the other.
Delgado GenCyber Camp Schedule:
Session #1 – June 17-21st, 2024 – Delgado City Park Campus (Mon-Fri, 9am-4pm)
Or
Session #2 – June 24th-28th, 2024 – Delgado Westbank Campus (Mon-Fri, 9am-4pm)
